I know they're made here in Utah, they're fwd, and that I would much rather spend roughly the same money on a Morgan 3 wheeler. They do look fun, though.

I think I’ll stick to my 4 wheeled Miata for fun.
Something about the aesthetic of these doesn’t work for me. Like I assume that they guy driving it is going to get out and want to talk to me about beard oil or mustache wax.

But... you'll actually get there in a vanderhall.

I’d be interested in an AWD version...
Perhaps even an SUV iteration... because all the cool kids have SUVs!!

The Indian dealer near my school sell these as well. I think they're really cool looking, but I don't actually know anything about them.

I like it a lot, not as much as a Morgan but might be easier to live with/buy here.

There’s a bunch of youtube videos including a Jay Leno’s garage episode on the Vanderhall. It was also covered in a recent episode of Orange County Choppers where Paul Jr. Designs put an aluminum body including a boattail on the chassis... now that I think about it, that might not be an endorsement...

OCC is still on the air? I honestly had no idea.

Who's buying a 3 wheeled vehicle to actually go places anyway?

They actually popped up at the KC Auto Show this year and I got to chat with their rep for a bit. Basic specs are 1.4T GM-sourced engine, FWD, and a monocoque, double-walled aluminum chassis weighing ~1600 lbs. Given what they had on display (many, many accessories for both you and your Vanderhall) and the features their guy was touting, they seem to be a little more focused towards
the lifestyle/touring end of the spectrum rather than the
fun/performance end
. I certainly wouldn’t say no to driving one, but I’d much rather spend that amount of coin elsewhere.

From a performance standpoint I don't really see the appeal. I imagine that the driving experience feels a lot more like a really small car than it would like a motorcycle. It's probably quick enough, but it feels like a compromise between a motorcycle and a small roadster, without the fun of a motorcycle or the practicality of the car. I would absolutely try driving one if I had the chance, but I can't imagine any scenario where I'd buy one.

This is an extraordinarily true point.

It would be, no doubt.

It died, was laid to rest, dead and buried... and then the Tuttles ran out of money, so they dug it back up!

saw a review and biggest gripe was the sides taper too much right where your arms are, don’t feel good in or out

I can live without that.
